## What makes Buildium easy or hard to automate

Buildium's Open API is a conventional REST API over rentals, units, leases, residents, owners, applicants, tasks and work orders, vendors, bills and general ledger data, documented on Buildium's developer site. Getting started is self-serve on a qualifying plan: an administrator switches on the Open API in settings, then creates keys in the developer tools area.
